Sisu (standard volume, heavy water layup)
The Sisu is far and away the best "all around" sea kayak hull design I've ever paddled. This thing handles rough water gracefully, surfs like a beast, and provides a stable platform for teaching or on-water snack breaks. The ample rocker and 16' length make the boat super playful and fun to edge and carve, and yet it's faster on flatwater than a 16' long hull really has any right to be. Every hull is a compromise between speed and agility, but they really got it right on this one! I recently loaded my Standard Volume Sisu up with 11-days worth of food and gear, and had no problem keeping up with longer boats across the length of Pukaskwa National Park on Lake Superior. I like the "heavy water layup" for durability. -Zach Stewart Duluth, MN
