Greenland Style kayaks have very low profile decks and are quite narrow for their length. They have a sharp hard chine which gives these kayaks high intial stability. Greenland style kayaks are highly capable in rough waters, quite maneuverable, and well suited for special paddling techiniques. The trade-off is that the small cockpit and low, narrow hull may be too snug for larger paddlers and also limits their gear capacity.
