Winter Caribou
Winter Squall

Here are a couple photos from Chris Clark taken on Lake of the Woods near Kenora, Ontario. It was a beautiful day in early April when the ice was breaking up on the lake, but there was still plenty of snow on the North facing slopes. The first pictures is of his custom colored Kevlar Caribou and the lower picture is a Squall.

Lake Powell

Alan Levin captured this image while exploring all kinds of nooks and cranies on Lake Powell in Utah.

Foggy Morning Squall

Dan Breed was rewarded with this photo for rising early one morning to paddle on Fourth Lake while in the Adirondacks on vacation.

Bowman Lake
Bowman Lake

Carla Jones sent us these two awesome photos taken on Bowman Lake in Glacier National Park along with this cool story.

"A couple of years ago a friend of mine said I needed to take my kayak to Montana and paddle Bowman Lake. She said it was one of her favorite places in the world to paddle. She died the winter of 2005. In May of that year I drove to Montana to go to Bowman Lake to say a little prayer for her. The morning I arrived at Bowman it was snowing and winding so I didn't go out. But there was a guy out paddling and having a blast (see stormy picture). Then about 6pm that day the wind died down and the sun came out. The water turned to glass (see top photo). I went out for a paddle in memory of my friend. As the sun went down and I started to come back to shore, three guys were on the beach with guitars and mandolin playing music for my friend. It was definitely one of those special moments in my life."

Solstice at Sunset

Alan Levin shot this awesome sunset photo from his Solstice GTS just 1/2 mile up river from Washington D.C on the Potomac River. Alan says the Potomac is very different once you are out of the city.

Soltice and Libra

This photo was submitted by Mary Looby taken at Misty Fjords National Monument near Ketchikan, AK. Mary said three of them took an 11 day trip in a Libra and Solstice rented from Southeast Sea Kayaks.

Sirroco on the San Juan

Raymond Van Dusen sent us this photo of his Sirocco in the muddy waters of the San Juan River.

Storms in the Artic

Louise Southerden from Sydney, Australia sent us this photo of friends paddling alongside Croker Glacier on Devon Island, just north of Baffin Island in the Canadian Artic. Louise said just after the photo was taken a massive piece of the glacier calved before their eyes, sending a 2 meter groundswell that rocked the boats like bath toys.

Fishing the Flats

An experinced kayak fisherman of more the 20 years says nothing he tries beats the CD Kestrel. This photo was taken in Charlotte Harbor, Punta Gorda, Florida while flats fishing for redfish with a Kestrel 120 rented from Big Kids Kayaks.

Edisto River, SC

Jared Perry snapped this shot at the take out on the North Fork of the Edisto River in South Carolina. Jared said the river was like a jungle with all the blow downs, but the kestrels held up great.

Solstice

Gerry Croney from Cambridge Ont. sent us some nice photos of himself paddling around Maple Lake in his Solstice GT. Gerry is really looking forward to getting his new Cypress!!!

Extreme
Extreme2

Erik Jorgensen from northern Norway submitted these photos for February. The top is a photo of an Extreme and Soltice GTS taken on a trip to "Lake Femunden" near where he lives. The bottom was taken on a trip taken on an early morning paddle at "Vestfjorden".
