Here are a couple photos from Chris Clark taken on Lake of the Woods near Kenora, Ontario. It was a beautiful day in early April when the ice was breaking up on the lake, but there was still plenty of snow on the North facing slopes. The first pictures is of his custom colored Kevlar Caribou and the lower picture is a Squall. |

Carla Jones sent us these two awesome photos taken on Bowman Lake in Glacier National Park along with this cool story.
"A couple of years ago a friend of mine said I needed to take my kayak to Montana and paddle Bowman Lake. She said it was one of her favorite places in the world to paddle. She died the winter of 2005. In May of that year I drove to Montana to go to Bowman Lake to say a little prayer for her. The morning I arrived at Bowman it was snowing and winding so I didn't go out. But there was a guy out paddling and having a blast (see stormy picture). Then about 6pm that day the wind died down and the sun came out. The water turned to glass (see top photo). I went out for a paddle in memory of my friend. As the sun went down and I started to come back to shore, three guys were on the beach with guitars and mandolin playing music for my friend. It was definitely one of those special moments in my life." |
